Specification

The Range Technology RA007 DFM Module is an inline electronic control module designed specifically for GM Refresh V8 vehicles. Unlike older OBD-II plug-in models (such as the RA003B), the RA007 connects directly to the Engine Control Module (ECM) inline connector to override factory cylinder management.

Installation Overview

Prepare Vehicle: Turn the front wheels fully to the left, shut off the engine, and disconnect the negative battery terminal ( $10\text{ mm}$ socket).
Access ECM: Remove the T-15 Torx screws and bottom bumper fasteners on the driver’s side front wheel well liner, then pull back the liner to access the ECM.
Connect Module: Disconnect the lowest connector on the ECM by pulling the red locking tab and rotating the latch. Mount the RA007 module directly onto the ECM, ensuring the spring-loaded latch fully locks, then reattach the OEM harness into the module.
Reassemble: Secure the fender liner fasteners and reconnect the battery.
